| Company Overview |
| |
|
Located on the Isle of Thanet, the main vegetable growing area of SE England, right next to Manston Airport and just inland from the Kentish coastal towns of Ramsgate, Broadstairs and Dover, Invicta is perfectly positioned to coordinate vegetable supplies into Local, National and European markets. |

The unique local microclimate offers mild winters and summer sea breezes which together with the fertile grade 1 soils make this the perfect location for vegetable production.
With food miles and other environmental issues becoming increasingly important it is our aim to make locally grown produce more available to the regions population, continuing and improving an age old tradition.
Whilst we source locally whenever possible, when out of season we do offer our customers alternatives for continuity of supply. With our excellent road, rail, sea and air connections, we are perfectly situated to procure out of season and also supply export markets during their off peak winter seasons. |

| Unique Seed Production Laboratory |
| |
Invicta works very closely with Trinity Growers, a specialist cauliflower seed breeding company that was formed over 25 years ago by 5 local growers. Their aim was to breed varieties that were better suited to the Thanet climate together with high natural tolerance to pests and diseases.
Seed is produced using meristem culture techniques in a laboratory in Broadstairs and then detailed varietal selection and bulking up takes place in controlled environment polythene tunnels. Seed is NOT genetically modified but natural selection is speeded up. Trinity varieties now account for 700 acres grown locally and a further 1500 acres outside the county.

Wherever possible our vegetables are packed into their final format on field harvesting rigs. This allows maximum freshness by minimising the time and handling required from point of harvest to chilling and despatch.

| Floretting & Pre-Packing |
The convenience and ready prepared markets have become increasingly important. Each week Invicta florets many tons of broccoli and cauliflower.
|
|
| |
|
These are then packed for pub kitchens and other catering outlets, supermarket pre-packs, added together with other ingredients to produce mixed packs all used by processors for soup or microwave dinner ingredients. Products can be size graded into any size between 5 and 90mm. We can also shrink wrap individual heads and automatically pack label with any variable weight/price data as required.
